FDS/Smokeview Windows Self-Installer

fdsall_407a.exe (7.0 MB).
Installs FDS 4.0.7, Smokeview 4.0.7, documentation, examples and database files onto a Windows PC.

Note: The latest version of fds4_mpi.exe was left out of the fdsall_407.exe installer program. The updated fdsall_407a.exe installer corrects this. If you already ran the the fdsall_407.exe installer then just download fds4_mpi.exe and replace the version that is in your install dirctory (usually c:\nist\fds).

Windows Updates

Minor bug fixes and updates to Smokeview and FDS can be downloaded from the links below. (A previous version of the FDS/Smokeview setup program must have been run first. ) Simply replace the older files with the new. Windows users can typically find the executables in c:\nist\fds.

The most critical computer specification is memory amount. The more memory you have, the larger cases you can run without causing drastically increased run times due to disk swapping. Remember though that Smokeview will also use memory if the case is viewed while it is running.
