Abstract:
Professor Zukoski's technical influence, generosity and
inspiration to a series of fire safety engineering
science doctoral candidates from the University of
California at Berkeley are chronicled. Two of his areas
of expertise are emphasized: gravity currents and pool
fire plumes. It is concluded that he has had an
unusually significant impact as a nurturing scientist.
