Abstract:
The board and care requirements in the Life Safety Code
are often complicated and difficult to understand. This
guide offers clear explanations and interpretations of
the board and care requirements in the 1991 Edition of
the Life Safety Code. Included are chapters that cover
the historical origins of the requirements and
explanations of the contents and administration of the
Life Safety Code in general. Also included are an
appendix that suggests appropriate requirements for very
small board and care homes (fewer than four residents)
and another appendix that offers fire emergency planning
advice.
