Abstract:
The development of experimental data for use in computer
fire model accuracy assessment is described. The tests
were conducted in a heavily instrumented structure to
provide data on temperatures and mass and heat flows in
a simple multi-room configuration. Several series of
carefully designed experiments were carried out changing
important physical parameters one at a time with several
replicates of each configuration. The current state of
understanding in computer fire model accuracy assessment
is discussed with the data presented forming an example
of one step of the process.
