[ABSTRACT IN ENGLIGH]
This third paper describes the development of a simple
worksite test intended to evaluate the two Bingham
characteristics. The principle is to measure the time
taken for the upper surface of the concrete sample,
placed in an slump cone, to slump by 10 cm. Details of
the experimental setup and method are given and an
analysis is performed of the results of the test on the
78 mixes in the programme. Semi-empirical models are
suggested for the shear threshold and the plastic
viscosity. The test can be used to evaluate the
viscosity of concretes whose slump is between 12 and 26
cm. If in the future the validity of the modified slump
cone test is confirmed it could provide a valuable
supplement to the BTRHEOM rheometer test, being used for
day-to-day quality control with the rheometer reserved
for mix design or investigating critical cases.
