Abstract:
The BEES (Building for Environmental and Economic
Sustainability) project has developed a flexible
methodology for balancing the environmental and economic
performance of building products. The methodology,
based on consensus standards, has been implemented in
Windows-based decision support software for building
designers and materials manufacturers, complete with
actual environmental and economic performance data for a
number of building products. This paper describes the
underlying performance measurement methodology.
